Dreamcatchers is a program founded by pioneer and social champion Anthea Rossouw that focuses on empowering women and youth in South Africa. Anthea aims to put “an end to aid without end,” using local resources and culture to develop successful micro-enterprises that offer a permanent end to poverty. Dreamcatcher emphasizes the important role of women in communities and pioneered the development of alternative, culturally-based types of tourism. This has broken the mainstream tourist traveler routes and helped bring about a socio-economic transformation. Additionally, Dreamcatcher started unique volunteer, social, and intra-cultural engagement experiences: socially-based, small, micro-entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer projects all geared to facilitate growth and development in communities struggling with harsh socio-economic conditions and environmental threats.Your donation will help Dreamcatchers continue to empower local communities and provide long-term solutions to poverty.
